Lewis County Food Pantry Network offers expanded hours
In an effort to serve more families during these economically tough times, the Lewis County Food Pantry Network offers expanded hours of operation. The network includes food pantries in Harrisville, Croghan, Copenhagen, and Port Leyden, which are entirely staffed with volunteers.  Each pantry also offers an ‘open hours’ schedule once each month, which makes it more convenient for families who need to access food.  Families can also meet by appointment, if needed.  If your family lives in Lewis County, click here to learn how to access a food pantry near you.  If your family lives outside of Lewis County, but resides in the central or northern New York region, click here.

A fifth pantry in the network is located in New Bremen on the campus of Opportunities, which continues to be open Monday through Friday from 8 AM—4 PM, except on major holidays.

Other pantries in the county operate independently from the network.  Click here for more information.

Community Impact At A Glance In 2009, 4,893 received food through the Lewis County Food Pantry network.  Enough food for 64,547 meals was distributed.
